I have called this principle, by which each slight variation, if useful, is preserved, by the term Natural Selection.

Evolutionary Biology, Dumb Politics, Philosophy and the Constant Dispute Against the Case for God
In opposition to Darwin Day on Feb. 12, creation scientists have instead replaced it with an observance which encourages students to debate evolution in the classroom. Called Academic Freedom Day, this holiday would help support free speech and thought regarding the inception of the Earth, life and humans by applying evidence and arguments towards and against evolution and creation. They have a website at academicfreedomday.com and on their About page in italics it reads the gist:
On Charles Darwin’s birthday (February 12th), students everywhere can speak out against censorship and stand up for free speech by defending the right to debate the evidence for and against Darwinian evolution. Let’s make “Darwin Day” Academic Freedom Day!
However, this contradicts itself, as there is nothing to debate about. As evidence continuously remains the same as that of yestertimes, providence shrinks. By the way, you may have free speech but you can’t discuss it in science class. Why is America the world’s worst science education country? Hmmm… That didn’t take much thought.
Speaking of holidays, Happy Groundhog Day everybody! Enjoy your month and a half more of winter!
Update: I guess they never thought most students wouldn’t be at school on a Sunday. Figures.
